Taobao’s millions of options allow people from any culture and lifestyle to find what they want within a few clicks. With the help of online shopping, it’s easier than ever for anyone to get the things that fit their lifestyle and live the way they live.
In this series, IDEAT China teamed up with Taobao to peep into various lifestyles from the shopping data and presented a trends write-up with a set of illustrations.
We summarized 10 keywords that represent from fashion styles to cultural presence that are trending and illustrated 10 avatars to represent each of them.

For each keyword, we tried to visualise the corresponding lifestyle by looking into the data of related products selling on Taobao. Thanks to the data provided by Taobao, we were able to form and illustrate out our point of view about what made up for each cultural presence and lifestyle.
